GlamSmile veneers are affixed to the teeth. Generally this does not affect the healthy tooth structure. In contrast to conventional veneers, where the teeth have to be ground, the Glamsmile veneers are so thin (0.3 mm) that the healthy tooth structure generally does not have to be touched. What are veneers?
Veneers, also called facets or facings, are ultrathin (0.2-0.5 mm) plates made entirely from porcelain that are affixed to the front of the tooth and can correct many aesthetic imperfections. Veneers thus provide a permanent solution to severe discolouring, gaps between teeth, damaged teeth. Veneers can also correct the shape and position of your teeth. Thanks to veneers your smile line (position of the lips while smiling) can be corrected and optimized.
What does treatment with veneers cost?
The price for treatment with veneers depends on a number of factors:
* The number of veneers (6, 8 or 10). This is done in consultation with the dentist.
* Do other procedures have to be done before the veneers can be fitted? Such as: correction of the gum line, bleaching, etc.

What is the GlamSmile process?
You'll need only two visits to the dentist for stunning teeth and a white smile! During your first visit, you will discuss with your dentist what you would like to change in your teeth and an impression of you teeth may be made. During the second visit the veneers are placed and you go home with a stunning new smile!
First visit
Our goal with GlamSmile is to create a smile that perfectly matches your face. That's why the dentist will discuss the options in detail with you during your first visit so you know what you can expect. When designing your new smile, the dentist takes into account the shape of your face, shape of your lips, colour of your skin, gums, etc. That is why the dentist takes numerous of pictures - both full face and as well as detailed photos of your teeth.
Then the GlamSmile dentist will make an impression of your teeth. He will ask you to bite in a mould filled with silicone. This is absolutely indispensable for making perfect customized veneers.
Based on photos and impressions and the detailed consultation with your dentist, the GlamSmile designers digitally "draw" veneers to exactly match your aesthetic wishes.
Second visit
During the second visit to the dentist the veneers are placed. The dentist will first prepare your teeth. Anaesthetic is not required, because the existing, healthy dental structures remain untouched. Only if one or more teeth are really misaligned will the dentist remove a little bit of enamel. This is only done to improve the aesthetic result and the dentist will only do this in consultation with you during your first visit.
Then the veneers are put in place in one movement. The dentist will then finish everything off and in barely one hour you can go home with a stunning new smile!
How are GlamSmile veneers made?
The experienced GlamSmile team has the most modern technology for producing veneers and delivering perfect tailor-made work. The entire production process takes place in the GlamSmile laboratory.
Every veneer is designed individually on the basis of the impressions taken and according to your face. This production process is a high-tech CAD/CAM process in which the ultimate precision is achieved. The shape, thickness and length of the veneers: everything is adapted individually to every tooth.

Do I have to have my teeth cleaned before the procedure?
Healthy and clean teeth are a pre-condition for a successful result.
I have a gap between my front teeth. Are veneers a solution for me?
Yes! If the opening is not too large, veneers can close the gap perfectly.
I have tried to whiten my teeth with bleaching techniques, but I was disappointed about the result. Are veneers a solution?
Yes, veneers offer a permanent solution for seriously discoloured teeth.
My teeth are crooked and overlap. Do I have to wear braces or are veneers a solution for me?
Veneers will be a solution in most cases. Your dentist will analyse your teeth and advice you about this. GlamSmile veneers can change the shape, size and alignment of your teeth, making your teeth look more even and symmetric. Every veneer is made individually, tailor-made for each patient's teeth and mouth. Everything depends on the extent to which your teeth need to be corrected.

Is it painful and safe?
In most cases the dentist does not need to alter existing dental structure so there is no need for anaesthesia and the veneers placements is painless. Teeth remain intact and unchanged, therefore the treatment is completely safe.
How many veneers will be fitted?
Most patients have both their upper and lower arches treated and always the teeth withinthe "smile line". Depending on how broad your smile is, 6, 8 or 10 veneers will be fitted. If you only choose upper veneers, the lower teeth will usually be whitened.
How many visits to the dentist are required?
Just two visits to the dentist are needed to give you a stunning pure-white smile. During the first visit photographs and mouth impressions will be made. The veneers are then placed during the second visit. Every visit lasts about 1 hour.

Can veneers break or crack?
GlamSmile veneers are of an exceptional quality. However, you have to take care of them, just as you would your natural teeth. You have to avoid point-to-point contacts. For instance, biting your nails is absolutely forbidden. However, if a veneer breaks or cracks, the dentist can remove that veneer and order a new one from GlamSmile.
How long do the veneers last?
Nothing is for ever: not crowns , not dental bridges and neither are veneers. However, we can say that hybrid veneers lastt for 6 to 8 years and porcelain veneers 8 to 10 years. Of course, it depends on your personal dental hygiene and if you take good care of your veneers, you can probably keep them much longer.
What if I get caries on one of my teeth?
No problem: the dentist can handle it on the inside or from the bottom.
How can I best take care of my veneers?
To protect your stunning white teeth, conscientious dental hygiene is a main factor. Brushing your teeth correctly twice a day is indispensable and flossing is also part of the daily routine. Go see the dentist at least twice a year for a check-up.
Can I still eat anything I want?
With veneers you can still eat everything. You only have to avoid point-to-point contact.
